The Bible tells us in the book of Romans, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God"(Rom.3:23), "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"(Rom.6:23). Jesus tells us in the book of John, chapter 3 verse 16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. Today you can have peace with God. Only God can fill that void, that emptiness that we all have. Everyone longs for something more in our lives as though something is missing. That something in our life that is missing can leaves us empty and incomplete. Only when we accept Jesus into our hearts and lives can we be complete. All of the sins of the world were placed on Jesus on the cross and when He shed His blood, His blood cleansed all of our sins if we receive Him into our hearts. Jesus died on the cross because He loves us and Jesus not only died on the cross for us but He rose from the grave. After Jesus rose from the grave He showed himself to over 500 people and ascended into Heaven. He said that He will come back to take us home to heaven in the same way that He left, in His clouds of Glory.
God and man have sought a personal relationship since the beginning of creation. God created Adam out of the dirt from the earth and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. Then God saw that man was lonely and needed a help mate and He caused Adam to go into a deep sleep and then removed one of Adams ribs and created woman. God called the woman “Eve”. God took care of Adam and Eve. He fed them and had fellowship with them. God told Adam and Eve that they could eat of any tree in the Garden of Eden but they were not to eat of the tree that was in the center of the Garden, which was the tree “of the Knowledge of Good and Evil”. Satan came along one day and lied to Eve and told her that if they ate of this tree that they would become as powerful and as smart as God. So they ate of it. This is the first recorded sin that man had committed. Sin is rebelling against or disobeying God. Sin separates man from God. God created us with a freewill. God did not want to create us where we have to serve Him but wanted to create us with a choice to serve him or not. But God loves us so much that He demonstrates his own love toward us that He gave His one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins so we would no longer be separated from Him. When God sees us, He sees us through the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts and live.
The Bible tells us in the 3rd chapter of the Book of John there was a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Sanhedrin, a ruler of the Jews. Nicodemus was considered an expert in the Law of God. Nicodemus had a void in his life and he had heard Jesus speaking to the people. One night Nicodemus went to visit Jesus because he was curious about this void or the emptiness that he felt. Jesus told him that unless a man be born again he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Nicodemus didn’t understand what this meant. He wanted to understand so he asked Jesus “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered him and said, “That which is born of flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit…The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it is going”. I can see evidence of the wind when I see the trees moving, the leaves blowing around and I can hear it moving around but I can’t see it. I know it’s there. I believe that this is year 2002 A.D. Even history tells us that Jesus was born 2002 years ago. I wasn’t there but I believe just like I believe that George Washington was the first President of the United States of America. John chapter 1 tells us in verse 12-14, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”.
First we are born of flesh and blood, this is the birth when we came out of our mother’s womb. There is another birth that Jesus is talking about and that one is when God’s Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us when we accept the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the forgiveness of our sins and ask Jesus to come into our hearts and live. That is when the blood of Jesus Christ covers us and all of our sins are washed away and we can spend eternity in Heaven with Him.
God even uses the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe (I Corinthians 1:21). This message probably sounds foolish but God will use this message to help you believe and save all of you who pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and live.
You can pray this prayer from your heart right now: Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner and I ask Your forgiveness for my sins. I ask You to come into my heart and live. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins and for forgiving me of my sins. Teach me to live for You. Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer then you are forgiven for your sins. I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
I recommend that you now get a Holy Bible if you don’t already have one and start reading in the Book of John. I also recommend that you find a church that teaches salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ and attend regularly. Get involved with other Christians and have fun and fellowship. It’s time to get started in your new life with Jesus. May God bless you and keep you growing in Him as you journey through this world on your way to Heaven. God bless you.
